unlocking my mobile

I want to unlock my old sony mobile phone, as ive taken the sim out and used in my new sony phone, How do i unlock old phone without putting old sim card back in phone?

Take your phone down to a local mobile phone shop and they will unlock it for you for about �5.00 you don't need to take your SIM with you they should have plenty spare to test it with. They simply run some software that unlocks the phone and enables you to use all networks. I'm not sure if a shop on the highstreet would do it for you but I'm sure it'd cost alot more than a local shop.
