Due to being recently brassic, I decided to sell all my CDs. I downloaded them onto my laptop before I did which I now want to upgrade.

My question is can I somehow transfer all my music which is on Media Player to another computer? Cause otherwise I'll loose all my tunes!

Thanks

sorry i dont know but someone anwser from ******* questions would ya people!
er, are the files in wmv format or mp3?
You may have license problems if they're wmv.

You'll need to either connect your old laptop to your new one and transfer the files across (using a network connection), or burn the files to CD/DVD and copy them to your new PC
easiest way is not connect it to a external hard drive or another large mass storage device and literally drag you my music folder into it and wait for it all to tranfer and then do the opposite once upgraded, if all the music came off cd's your're unlikely to have a problem with licences it the downloaded music thats a ******.
i did something similar not that long ago....

trying burning the music onto a dvd-r/dvd-rw, you'll get about 4gig on 1 dvd, which is a fair few songs. If not split them up and put them several dvds.

=OR=

As previously mentioned put them on an external hard drive / memory stick. If you cant fit all your songs on a memory stick, transfer what you can on to it. Put the music files onto the other computer, deleted the files on the memory stick then add some more music from the original computer.

hope this makes sense, had a little too much to drink and cant sleep!

Thanks guys. The memory stick crossed my mind actually - I'll give that a go.
