ACer cpu

I have an ACER PC, which i use regularly, but having been away for a few days, i came to switch it on and nothing has happened, the CPU is working but its staying on and a red battery light is permanently illuminated and its making intermittent beep noise, i have tried to reboot but its still the same, the monitor is blank also, I have unplugged all the cables etc and checked them and still nothing, anyone have any advice how to get it working?

Sounds like BIOS Error Beep Codes. Listen carefully to the sequence of beepsh then look here:-

Fantastic - thanks Wideboy - I reckon as its Saturday, and a Bank Holiday that you are entitled to a wee drinky ! Thanks for your help on this, but after 12 reboot attempts my pc seems fine and has been working ok for the past 4 hours now....
Until it crashes lol.

How old is the laptop? It could be the on-board battery going?

Its not a laptop but a full deck PC - its about 3 years old.
