Infuriating Y

90% of the time I type ' y ' in my emails the blinking bar jumps back somewhere into the already written text!! I am veri wari of typing Y now. Can aneeone offer advice or remedy the situation...I am using winME on a laptop. Thanks

Is a Num Lock or Function button on? Silly question but that would explain it - perhaps the button is dirty and stick sometimes - might be worth looking at
