I already have an ipod mini and have had it for a few years but now want to upgrade and buy a new 30GB iPod with video. Should I do it? Or is there another better version of the iPod in the pipeline? Thanks in advance.

There is most definately a new ipod on the way. This webpage says it'll have a 3.5 inch touch-screen.

But I haven't heard anything myself confirming it or otherwise. I've been looking for info myself as I am thinking of upgrading too.
No idea what it'll have, but wait another week. Rumours about a special conference Sept 12th. Possibly an aluminium nano, or a full-screen iPod.
There is never a good time to purchase any type of technology.

Typically, as soon as you buy something, within weeks a newer model will come out - it may be made by apple or indeed someone else, but you can bet your bottom dollar that something will be out in a few weeks which is better!
