Would be grateful for any help only had laptop for couple of years tried to get into packard Bell site snapsy but no luck, can I get rid of home page and start again. Thanks a lot.
Using the internet explorer browser, If you want Google as your homepage then get to the Google search page by whatever means you can and then do Tools/Options and you will then be able to set your homepage..........click on the button that says "Use Current" or type in the address of which ever page you want. and then click Apply at the bottom.(important)
When you connect to the internet by opening IE you should then be at Google search page or whatever page you choose.
I presume you have an icon on your desktop to open IE.
If you are using the Firefox Browser, after Tools Options you must make sure you click the GENERAL tab to see the home page selection area.
Hope this helps.

As I said......click on Internet Explorer which gets you on the internet.......yes?
Then browse to the page you want as your homepage...yes?
Click Tools, then Internet Options........yes?
Then a box pops up which has the option "you can choose which page to use as your home page"...yes?
Press the "Use Current" button and then at the botom press the "Apply" button............OK?
................next time you go online by pressing the IE icon your new home page will be the first page you see.......or if you want to get back home whilst you are on another page...click the little HOUSE icon on the toolbar at the top of the page...............
Sorry I can't put it any clearer than that..........it is just simple basic stuff and if that doesn't work well, yes PC wWorld have helped me out on a few occasions and they do have set prices for various jobs so try them..........and good luck.
