camera query

i bought my daughter a digital camera for her birtghday (praktica dcz 3.2 d) and whilst on holiday in Florida we both took pictures of some of the same parades. Now that each of our photos have been developed we can see that some of them are identical and her photos look like they have a green tinge to them and the colour quality is far worse than on mine.

can anyone confirm if this is a problem with the memory card or the camera?

I'm using memorex xd cards and she has a viking sd card.

No, it's definitely not a problem with the memory card. Could be the sensor or the lens, or the way that the computer is interpreting the additional info that's store with the picture.

The memory card will just store whatever it's supplied with. If it had a problem, you would either not be able to access it or the pictures would be thoroughly corrupted.

I printed some pictures yesterday and after the first one they started to have a green tinge and got greener. Then the printer told me the black ink was running out - I replaced it and everything was fine .... until the cyan ran out. Several sheets of paper later decided Tesco might be a cheaper bet.
Anyway - unless the shop was having a similar problem (don't know how their printers work) I don't know what is wrong apart from above suggestions.
You could take the card to a different shop and print one picture that you know came out green - if that was fine - I'd then go back and ask first shop to try again!
