Terrestrial Digital TV Channels.

I recently bought a terrestrial digital TV box but cannot receive any ITV channels. In fact I can't get Channel 4 and 5 either. According to Freeview.co.uk, my postcode is in the catchment area and I can 'see' all the BBC ones fine (plus the Sky, music channels and all the radio ones). Are some signals weaker than BBC? Does my old aerial needs replacing? Have I bought a cheap/nasty box which will only pickup BBC? Any recommendations gratefully received.

It could be your aerial (Ages ago I had the same type of problem with OnDigital). Although I am in a poor reception area anyway!

This was a common problem when on digital first came out it all depended how good an area you were in for reception.We were told we were in a good catchment area and we would have no problems.I got on digital when it first came out but couldn't get all the channels we wanted we were told we would need an aerial upgrade this means for �40 someone from on digital comes out and replaces your aerial. We never bothered It does sound as if you need a stronger aerial so you can get the other channels you are missing.Try your local paper there will be someone there that fits aerials at a good price.

We had the same problem when we had on-digital.At times we could only get a few of the channels avialable. It cost �60 to get a good quality aerial fitted which worked perfectly - without all those 'hiccups' that you can get. But that was before on-digital crashed.I wonder if its worth it for a few iffy channels....
