can you download a podcast on to another device other than an i pod? maybe a psp for example?

Yes. Just download it, and it'll probably be in mp3 format. Then you should just be able to add it to your psp as you do any other mp3 file.

iTunes has lots of podcasts on it, as does odeo:

However, unless you use some other software, it may not auto-update your podcasts for you. You'll still have to drag them onto your psp every few days or whatever.
