LAN settings?

I have bought a Linksys wireless router to connect a desktop PC and a Laptop to the net at the same time, I have managed to set up the desk top PC and it works fine but I am having trouble with the laptop (wireless enabled), should i be trying to set it up using Local area network? Any thought on this would be useful

There should be a "wireless network setup wizard" in control panel, that you can run to configure.
