Is there a tutorial DVD or CD for beginners so my mate can learn while watching the PC screen ??

The ECDL course does that (and more). There are also endless online tutorials.
I think I've got an ECDL CD somewhere if you want it.

Football made eh? Stevie and everyone, all my friend needs to learn is the basics for word -- not Microsoft Office or anything else. Just edit, delete, save, copy, paste, that type of thing. I am trying to help her but if she had a disc she could watch on screen and follow that would be great.
