Virgin Mobile and others
4 Answers
Anyone had any experience with Virgin Mobile either pay as you go or pay monthly? Reception? Problems? Any feedback good or bad appreciated. The deals seem to be very good - too good to be true???? What about Tesco and other mobile suppliers other than the big 4.

I don't use it very much, but it hasn't let me down once - reception availabe in Yorkshire, Devon, Wales and the Midlands. (The only place I've been!)
I like it because my only commitment is to either send a text or make a phone call every 180 days.
The phone was cheap, the calls are on a par with everyone else.

Agree with Ethel. I've been with Virgin Mobile for about 4 years as a PAYG customer. Personally I've had no problems with Virgin in any way.
I understand they've recently been taken over by NTL, so I hope they don't get dragged down to NTL's level. I hope not, and I think all the Virgin staff are staying at the same location. The few times I've needed to speak to a 'real' person at Virgin I've found their British call centre staff to be very helpful and friendly.
Virgin don't have their own network of transmitters, they use the T-mobile network, which puts them on a par with any of the big operators for coverage.
