I have a large number of files saved on 3.1/4" 720k 2DD disks produced on a Smith Corona Model 3600 Word Processor in PWP format. Is there a program I can download which will convert these files from PWP to ASCII format (as could be done on the SC 3600 PWP) so I can open them on a computer running Windows 98 and Word 97 programs?

This may appear to be a silly question but have you tried to open them directly using MS Word 97?

If Word is unable to read them, I am led to believe that MS Wordpad has no difficulty in opening the files.
