A friend has recommended Piolet as a file sharing program. Do you use this? Is it any good?

I've never heard of it. But BitTorrent will always be better and probably safer.
Actually, bittorrent will not 'always' be better, as I have never been able to get the hnag of it.
I use Limewire (www.limewire.com) for file sharing.
You cand save and scan any files before using them if you are catous (sp?)

With bittorrents you initially download a very small file. which you then open with say utorrent. Then select a place to save your main download. It really is easy once you master a few simple procedures. I mention utorrent as it does not need to be installed.
Josh: yea you're right. But with a good torrent (OpenOffice for example), and the right setup, BitTorrent is unbeatable. The protocol is also far better than the other protocols used by limewire etc.
