rreloaded bt broadband. when i need to disconnect i can't. there are no '2 tvs' to click onto. there are arrows but it doesn't let me disconnect. i have to turn the pc off.

I have to admit I don�t understand the second half of your question, but I do know that broadband connections are �always on�. That�s the point. So you shouldn�t need to disconnect in the same way you would for dial-up.

Next to your TV screens have you got the little square box with the BT world in it. I right click on this and it says sign out and exit, .Click on sign out and exit this disconnwcts the broadband.

I can click on START>>>CONNECT TO>>>and then chose my wireless router. Right click and chose DISABLE

Or you could disconnect the cable from the phone socket.

The icon is not there because you have not checked the appropriate box in your Network Connections under properties.
