file error notification

can anyone advise me please,i keep getting an email with the heading FILE ERROR NOTIFICATION from a www.zoomlensworld.com (which i cannot trace) telling me to click on to a link and it will check for file errors in the registry! i am fairly new to computing and wonder if this is a ploy of some kind...thank you in anticipation.
