Game crashes

I have been playing Call of Duty united offensive multiplayer and it has started (after a little time of playing) freezing up and reseting my computer. I have downloaded an available patch think that the game may just need to be upgraded and it continues to happen.

Can anyone tell me why I so enjoy playing it but i fear that long term damage to the computer may occur.

your computer may be overheating, make sure all your system fans are working, because the graphics will be working hard for CoD the processors will get roasted, and if they get to hot the pc will shut down
