HI All I want to convert a pdf file to excel and try and keep the columns and position of data the same can any1 help with this?

If you've only got reader, there's nothing you can do with a pdf file. That's the idea of them. They're read only, and are essentially just pictures. You need illustrator to edit them, but even then they're graphic files rather than data for excel.

Thanks Ugly_bob i have sorted it anyway. I do have Acrobat Professional but the file was formatted purposely to stop people saving as a text file and then putting into excel. If reformatted the PDF so it wasnt as big a file and this seemed to do away with the formatting. Then saved as text then into excel.
