My great uncle was killed in the first world war. How would I start to find out where and how, and where he is buried?

You could start with the Commonweath War Grave Commission at www.cwgc.org

He will be listed on here if he was serving the forces during the war and it will probably tell you where he is buried as well.

I found what I was looking for via a BBC website a couple of years ago, time place etc. Can't remember the link but have a look at BBC history. Good luck.
