my pc has seemed a little slow for a while and i've done virus checks spy bot checks etc regularly.
but still seems slow. on doing another check it said i had 2 possible adware infections. one came under the heading tradedialer which i think i've got rid of and the other said this>>>>>>>>>>
File c:\i386\gtdownde_87.ocx is infected with: Adware.Gdown
WHAT IS IT? AND IS IT BAD?AND HOW I GET RID OF IT

Sometimes the cause of slow running may be that you have another program running in the background. If this is the case press CTRL ALT DELETE keys together and which will show any that are currently running.

For spyware or adware, I'd install SpyBot, AdAware AND Windows Defender and update and scan with them all.

For antivirus and firewall only ever use one but there's no harm in using a few antispyware progs.
