ipod radio on nano?

hi i got a ipod for my birthday and it says i can listen to the radio can i please ask y it dont let me listen to it do i have to download softwear or do i have to buy a pit or should i take it back?

It can't play the radio, at least not out of the box. Where have you read that?

You can buy lots of radio accessories for it though. Here's apple's one.
