Hiys, I had a wierd experience on MSN just before, I signed in and as the messenger window was opening Estie nudged me and when the box opened she wrote that she could hear me typing, and then she said she could hear my dog barking, then she could hear me saying, 'Can you hear me speaking?' Yet i cannot hear her, she says she can even hear my tele in the background it is so clear. What did i touch? Why can't Estie hear me, she had windows live messenger and I have MSN messenger 7.5.

Hi Dotty - read your post again - I'm confused.

Your msn friend can hear you (although you say she can't) but you can't hear her.

Is that the problem?

Have you got your sound on and not muted? Is the volume up high enough?

In MSN Go to tools - audio and video settings

and follow the instructions and tests.

Has your friend even got a microphone & it is switched on ???
