creative zen v plus 1 gb - memory question

ive just bought this mp3 player and have downloaded songs onto it and have only managed 88 wma's - all the documentation i can find says that i'd be able to store up to 500! am i doing something wrong or is the 500 tracks based on really short songs?!

Usually based on about 3 mins per song on average.
WMAs are smaller than MP3s so between 300 and 500 should be expected. I have a 1gb Zen Nano Plus and have used Creative Media Source to put about 200 songs on it so far (all MP3s) so you should expect more than your 88.

(Also have Zen Touch with 3000 songs on it - all with Creative Media Source)

A lot of mp3 players have a maximum number of files you can have in one folder, try organizing your songs by artist or genre and see how you get on.
