Hungry Horace, Space Invaders, Galaxian, Asteroids, Fruity Frank. These were mere 8 bit games but addictive and popular. How come now, with 32bit and multitasking, we can't get these games on Windows OS? How twee is an emulator? I bet they could sell loads of this abandonware on Windows platform. Platform games; Manic Miner, etc Graphic adventures Atic Atac etc. Nowadays all we really got is tetris arkanoid balls and lines. How is that progress. What's gone wrong with pc games. lack of a joystick as standard perhaps. What are your views? Here is a praise to Mame for the 'oldies' ; (if you got shockwave flash - more anachronism) http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/mamesong.htm

freeware.
Very good point! Manic miner should be repackaged as it were. I'd really like to find a game that I used to play all the time on my Toshiba MSX called Boulderdash. I did manage to find a version of it for my Amiga, but that is now dead. A nice shiny new version of that game would kick ass!
