Samsung DVD Player S224

I have recently got a Samsung DVD player S224, and it has a problem with colour on some, not all DVD's. Some DVD's work fine but on others the colour keeps flashing from dark to light all the way through the film. Does anybody know why?

Sounds like Macrovision copy protection to me Have you got your DVD linked through a VCR to you TV or is it plugged straight into the TV? If it is through the VCR then the macrovision protection would be kicking in which could cause the symptoms you are seeing. Plug the DVD player straight into the TV
