Does anyone know how to merge customer records on sage? (eg: if 2 companies amalgamate) I've tried editing the customer records but cannot seem to merge the 2

i dont believe you can. at work we just close off the obsolete one so no more activity can be added to it, and keep the other 'live'

I thought there must be a way though as even today i've had a customer who has now renamed their company so its not obsolete and they have outstanding balances as well. I can change the name in account details but not account. Oh well thanks anyway

yes - at work i edit company name, address etc, but the account name must remain the same unfortunately!! obv if you were having trouble finding someone, whose company name may have been changed, you can search accounts by post code (which in some cases would remain the same)
