I have a hard drive containing most of my music from my old laptop and wish to transfer the data to my new computer.

However, the Windows password was set up on the old computer and I don't have it anymore. Therefore I cannot access the data on the old hard drive to transfer it to the new one. Can anyone tell me a way around this?

Thanks.

This sounds like a situation where you need to set the shares and/or permissions of the files/folders on the data disk.

The following article explains the procedure better than I could...
