What configuration of CD should I be using for photo storage, that would allow me to format/delete/add to, and virtually let me do as I want?
For the past year I have been using CD-R and have not changed anything as they are only for storage - but I may want to !
Thanks Hard@it

For maximum flexibility, you should use a CD-RW disk. Before you add any files to it, you need to use your burning software (e.g. Nero) to format it as a rewriteable disk.

Once your disk is formatted it effectively becomes a 'giant floppy'. You can add, delete or re-name files at any time.

Having said that, CD-RW is not as reliable a format as CD-R. If you're just storing, literally, then I'd advise you to immediately take your pictures off your memory card in your camera and straight onto a CD-R disc. Then go ahead and play about with them if you like, and store them on a CD-RW if you want to mess about with them later perhaps. But if possible always have a backup stored safely.
