If i buy a new pc what is the recommended / minimum specification i should get? I am loking to run Windows XP with Microsoft Office and also store pictures, videos and music

Any PC at all will do this, even the most basic on the market at present. What's the most "intensive" thing you'd be doing with it? Playing games? Video/audio/image editing?
If all that you're doing is surfing the internet, downloading and using Office then all you need to cater for is having sufficient RAM and a big enough hard drive to store all your gumph.
