HP2840 printer on network

Has anyone had any experience of problems running an HP2840 on a network. I seem to be having numerous problems with seeing it on the network.
Any help/tips would be appreciated.

I am assuming that the printer is connected to the network via a jetdirect card.
If you are using DHCP for your network IP addresses, you need to reserve one address from your DHCP scope, and give the printer the static IP address you have reserved.
