ccApp What does this mean or Do ?

My PC everytime i shut it down says that ccApp is not responding and will not turn off. What is ccApp ? What does it do ? Do i need it or can i clean it off my hard drive and have done with it, without it having any adverse effects ?

ccApp is related to Norton products. I used to get this problem, but it was resolved when I run a live update in Norton.
