I have my PC connected by a quite long telephone extension over a doorframe, and it seems to work OK.
We are getting a laptop for the family at Xmas, and I intend to connect it wirelessly. I am not intimidated by computers, but have no experience of wireless or local networks.
Should I connect the PC wirelessly aswell?
PC World seem to have a reasonable ADSL wireless thingy by Linksys. Are they any good?

If you have ADSL broadband via your phone line, then get an ADSL modem+router in one. They have good prices and good service at http://www.ebuyer.com.
You can connect the PC wirelessly too if you want, but it'll be more reliable/stable wired, so if it's close by you may as well just use wires. Up to you really though.
