Hi, I used to have Norton Firewall & Antivirus protection on my laptop but subscription was due for renewal so I decided to go for Norton Security instread. Big mistake, my computer may be safer but goodness it is sooo slow!
Is there any way I can improve its speed? I used to be able to refresh in 3 seconds now it takes 10 (need the speed for ebay, sad but true). Could it have anything to do with the 'Fraud monitoring is on' thingy, does anyone know how I can turn it off?
Any advice would be gratefully received as I am such a computer dunce!
Thanks.

Ideally, ditch Norton (annoying, I know). It is well known for being resource-hungry and if your machine doesn't have loads of spare RAM and Mhz, you will be noticeably impacted.

Have a look at NOD32 for AV and Outpost Firewall. There's loads of others now, including some free (AVG, Comodo)
