I asked earlier about printing thunderbird emails without all the source details etc - have had no reply - you usually come up with straightforward answers to questions - can you help please would be really grateful

Hi Wendy - I did see your earlier post, and I do use Thunderbird, but I do not have this problem when I print.

Please do the following, and tell me what happens.

In Thunderbird -

File - Print Preview - Page Setup - Headers and Footers

What information is showing?

In headers and footers (as above) the three boxes show
title blank URL
The solution may be staring me in the face but I can't see anything to change which appears relevant.
I also visited the tutorial site which didn't show anything different preview shows all the stuff I don't want to print but not how to leave that part out. Obviously I can copy and paste but
thats a bit long winded. My husbands PC doesn't do it. I'll have to make time to look at his and see it I can spot the difference

I'm sorry for not getting back sooner. I have been thinking about it and can not come up with an answer.

I suggest you compare the two pcs setups, particularly in thunderbird itself and the browser File - Setup.

Hopefully the difference will leap out at you, and your problem solved!

Thank you very sincerely Ethel for trying to help. I really have not had an opportunity to look into this as yet and tomorrow I am assisting Father Christmas, at a local garden centre, raising money for charity. Hopefully I will have some time early in the week to explore our Thunderbird setting more closely and if I come up with an answer I will let you know
