strange noise

sitting at comp,every now and then i hear a twang noise ,cant find source ,its got me beat ,anyone any ideas ,please

not on aol,dont comm unicate much on e mail systems

how often?
how long after the pc is switched on?
what are you usually doing with the pc when you hear it?

sound like someone hitting a note on xylaphone then it verberates,like ping wow wow ,very hard to describe in words,not high or low
