Clearing all information from a windows 95 computer

We have a old windows 95 computer and havent used it in years and its just taking up space so i want to get rid of it, but i know that old computers can hold lots of personal information like credit card numbers and stuff. So i was just woundering how do i wipe all the information from the computer so that we have no fear of people stealing/ using the informaiton on it.

If you are just going to dispose of the computer, open it up, take the hard drive out and hit it with a hammer.

That is the only surefire way of destroying data on a hard drive.

but i think my dad will want to give it to charity so is there any way of clearing the data with out removing the hard drive....cos then it could still go to a good cause, (well if some one wants a computer that is only good for typing on).
This works for Win95.

thanks fo3nix but i cant use that program u sugested cos it wont fit on a floppy disk, and the old computer cant use a usb pen or copy from a cd.
