AB update?

Since there seems to be an update looming, judging by what ABEd has said on more than one occasion, I thought it would be interesting to find out what the users would like to see in the new version.

My suggestions are:
A riddles and quizzes section
A chatroom, so we can chat amongst ourselves while we're here
An improved search engine, so we can search by date, question title, username (both poster, and replies) and keywords (title AND text of original question. Not replies, 'cause I think that would be TOO cumbersome)

So, what would the rest of you like?

All the above, plus split body & soul into say Body physical and Body Mental. A section for all the B stupid questions. Search for a question by number, indicate when a questions had additional answers since you last looked [or show "updated on ...... @ .... hours"] Split the Internet site into "computing Advanced" and "computing straighforward"

I would like to have more personalised features, e.g. have your own member page where you can have a little profile about yourself and see just the threads you've marked as being interested in and the threads you've replied to.

scrollbar on the answer dialog box so you can click "submit" on long-worded questions. IE6 compatibility which doesn't crash. questions dropped off the most recently listed ones being in chronological order (so you can click next 20 etc). notified when someone else's question gets an answer (so you don't have to keep trawling questions you've answered, looking for feedback/abuse etc :-)), and a "pictures of naked ladies" section

Yeah all of the above would be nice...but we've had nearly all these suggestion before (and a fair while back at that so don't be holding your breath

Yea, tight or what? let's have our requests fulfilled: Well they [AB] seem to be rolling in cash; must be with hosting all those dang popups and spycookies; That's what I would like to see an end to; atdmt, bluestreak, adviva, etc drilling into my computer. As for all the other good ideas; try the new uk site http://www.brain-fuse.com/ they got profiles, monitored q's, chat, well, they got so much extras that it takes some getting used to but there's NO popups there OR spycookies and it's very easy to register; if i could spare more time... it's a top site, definitely worth a lookover. :-)

Yes shybearuk all what you said would be great especially search for questions via usernames sound interesting, as long as they keep it simple for simple me.

Excellent ideas, folks :) I particularly like the profile pages, ability to edit/delete your own questions/replies, view xx number of questions per page AND keeping it simple. There are plenty of pages that have these things, and I think that Answerbank deserves to be one of them.

Answerbok, I gave brainfuse a look, but didn't find it to be as amusing/entertaining as AB. Maybe if every single user from here moved over there it'd be the same, but it's the people, not the site that I've grown to love. :o)

A "next 20" thingy at the bottom of the most recent 20 questions list. Also, I have noticed that most of the questions in the "adverts" section ask about what the music was on such and such an advert. So separate sections for adverts' music and for adverts (other).

Let's ALL join Brain-fuse.com! as well.. yea, i know, it's a bit of a vast site and would probably use much of your time getting used to it, that's what's putting me off. Anyway, i am in Brain-fuse as answerbok but it's kind of on hold due to my allegiance with AB. I think it would be GREAT if AB could merge with 'Fuse. they got trivia sections and polls and chat and userprofile etc etc. I will say one thing in AB's favour... They haven't had a technical weekend crash shutdown' for ages.. keep it up AB.
