Sony Ericson - K800i - Connection with PC

Hi, my husband has a Sony Ericson K800i. We have installed the software from the disk supplied but although the USB is connected between the phone and the PC the PC Suite is saying that there is no connection. When attempting connection via PC Suite it says it can't find anything, but when connecting via the Wizard it finds it and installs it but PC Suite still says nothing is there. I am not exactly a techno whiz kid and so help would be appreciated because we are stumped.

Also, I managed to install my Sansung D600 a few weeks ago and it is all running well; when you connect the phone to the PC it makes a sound and flashes up that the phone is connected. Following the installtion when I connect the USB and K800i it does make this sound (suggesting connection has been made) but says it is not connected. Hope this is of some help.

Have you tried shutting down your computer and re booting.

Hi tommo, I think the disk was dodgy because I downloaded it from the Sony Ericsson website and it is working now. Thanks for the tip.
