new computer problems

Hi iv had a new computer and decided the best thing to do was to take all the info of my old one and store it on my ipod. Now iv plugged in my ipod when i drag things of it i get this message CANNOT COPY PARAMETERS INCORRECT how do i get around this

Also can anyone tell me why my computer likes to turn of on its own and reset itself(its less than 48 hours old)

What sort of things were you trying to copy to the ipod? If it was actual programmes it won't work. Your own documents and photos should have transferred okay though.

Is it a laptop running off its battery?

i was useing my ipod as a removable disc only mp3 files runing of a desktop pc
