scratched Ipod Nano

Any ideas on an effective way to remove or diminish scratches on my black iPod Nano? It's the front that is most scratched, due to being lobbed in my gym bag!

Metal polish such as brasso should do the trick if it's not too bad.

It might also be worth considering something called an Invisible Shield which stops it getting scratched in the first place. I've got one of these for my video ipod and still no scratched whatsover six months later even though I keep it in the same pocket as my keys!!
