My boyfriend has just purchased a 26" widescreen Beko TV. The box says 'Beko' but the actual TV says 'Panache' on the front of it. Can someone please explain why this may be? Thank you

Lots of electrical and other goods (fridges etc) are given special brand names by stores.

The same product could be made in a factory in Taiwan but have one label stuck on it for say Tescos, another label for Sainsburys, another for Comet etc.

I have even heard of some companies paying another to make a product for them. A few years ago I heard about Canon (who make cameras themselves) paying another company to make a camera for them and put a Canon badge on it.

It goes on all the time.

Here is an example where Sommerfield are selling the Panache TV and it says it is a Beko.
