sky + dowloading to dvd and replaying on other players

I have been trying unsuccessfully to copy my tv programmes saved on sky + onto dvd. The disc will not play on any other machine other than my original player. Any suggestions where I am going wrong..

Suggest you try a different brand of dvd disc. I have experienced the same problem, which was solved by changing the brand. (I currently use Sony DVD +RW)

Do you finalize the DVD ?

Unless you finalize a DVD it will only play on the player it was recorded on.

It is easy to do and should be covered in your instructions.

If you use -RW disks you don't need to finalise them.
