installing !!!! MY COMPUTOR IS DIEING!!

Everytime i try to open a program, such as itunes or msn messenger it trys to install itself!! even though ive already downloaded it !! and when i do say install, it just says something like cant find it or something and then it says fatal error !! i cant go on anything and its really getting me down!! , also all my music on limewire has seemed to disappear and when i try to go onto where there usually kept theres only bout 10 songs when before there was alot more why would it deleate some and keep others i JUST DONT GET IT !! also theres some error message that keeps popping up something about patch pakge and it makes no sence!! PLZ SOMEONE HELP ME IM DESPERATE!!! and another thing someone plz help me it says that my disk c drive is not formatted!!! and i just relised that half of my photographs are missing and half of my pictures also!!!!

Im no IT expert but it sounds like your PC has a lot of issues! Firstly Id back up all my files then do a clean install of windows, I dont think theres an easier fix for this. Then get urself sum decent anti-spyware/virus software (the guys on here can recommend).

oh and guess what i do have a external harddrive to back up my files its a freecom one and everytime i try to back up my files!! IT SAYS THERES A ERROR!!!! oh its so horrible !! * cries*

From your two posts, it sounds like you're right - the PC is on its way out. I suspect you have a hard drive, or a hard drive controller that faulty. There may be some diagnostics in the "bios" that might confirm this...not every bios has these so don't be too alarmed if yours doesn't. Also, some PC vendors provide a diagnostic CD - it is usually bootable and can be used to diagnose problems.

Otherwise, I would suggest that you bite the bullet and take it to a specialist.
