winmail.dat?
6 Answers
Every time I send a friend a .jpeg attachment, all he gets is a winmail.dat file at his end. I can send them to myself OK, so I'm assuming the problem is at his end. Any ideas, people?

But as far as I can see they are a troublesome form of text file, rather than images. Incidentally, it doesn't help you, but what alexwo says about AOL is simply not the case. By coincidence, just after reading your question, I received into my AOL mail box a photo from my sister in jpeg form.
