If you have XP, then there is a utility in your accesories/system tools folder called files and settings transfer wizard. That will not only save your addressbook, but also your internet settings, favourites, and you can even make it save your files. It is self-explanatory.

If you have an earlier Windows, I believe the addressbook is stored in C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft if my memory serves me right. Just save it to a CD or floppy, and put it on your desktop on the new computer. Then Open outlook express and through the filetab you can navigete to import the addressbook.
The first question is what program are you using for your e-mails? If it is outlook express full information is given here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/270670/en-us?s pid=2578&sid=global What you want to do is to 'export' the address book from the old computer and 'import' the address book to the new computer.

wildwod and old bob, many thanx for your advice. I do indeed use XP and IE, so will try your suggestions. I figured the answer to my question was in there "somewhere ' but Sod's Law always seems to dictate that you can not readily find the process!
