Advice on scanners

I need to purchase a scanner. Everybody has been advising me to get a 3 in 1 i.e. printer, scanner, copier. I already have an Epsom Photo R340 which I am very happy with. Can anyone advise me on a scanner as I need one ASAP. I would prefer one which did not take up a lot of space on my desk. Thanks in advance.

Check out the Epson standalone scanners. All of them are good.

If you also want to scan negatives as well as ordinary photos and docs the Epson 4490 Photo is rated the best buy in Computer Shopper.
I have one it is great.
