Will my DVD Player play Region 1 DVD's?

I have a PHILIPS DVP3020 DVD Player does anyone know if it will play Region 1 DVD's?

its unlikely to play region 1

however Try This
WITHOUT a dvd in
Press "Setup"
Scroll to "Preference" using the LEFT/RIGHT arrow key
Press "138931" and a pop-up screen will appear.
Use the UP/DOWN arrow key to choose the desired Region.

0= all regions
1= 1
2= 2

Thank you for your answer defenstrate I tried what you suggested and i pressed the numbers but no pop-up screen appeared.

It worked for me , but there is another option if you need to region unlock it

1 open the tray
2 press 9 9 9 9 0

I havn't tried this way as i no longer have the dvd player.
