Samsung LCD - help!!

Just got a Samsung 19 inch LCD telly - (LE19R7) a white one - looks great!

However, how do I turn it off so it's not on standby?? The instruction book is about as much use as a chocolate teapot - says to press the same button for off/on/standby... it doesn't turn it off! It just puts it in standby & then turns it on again!!

This is really winding me up!! Please help!

Do you press it harder or hold it in or something similar?

Yeah, I would guess that you need to keep it pressed for a few seconds

Nah, neither work... finally found the answer on the Samsung website... in a roundabout sort of way, they say you can't turn it off without unplugging it!!!!!
