64 Bit Processor or 32 Bit Processor

I wand to bu Windows Vista Home premium version, and the cheapest place to buy is on ebay, just confused as to what I couls expect to get, some are 64bit and some are 32bit, how do I tell what my computer will run? do I want an upgrade or do I want an OEM version? Can I install one copy on more than one computer? Is there anything missing on the academic version?

if you need to ask these questions then i have 1 piece of advice:
dont upgrade, wait at least a year till all the issues are sorted out

Along similar lines, I wouldn't recommend buying an OS from eBay without knowing how to "read between the lines" as to what exactly you are getting.

download and run to see if your system in compatible.

Vista needs big disc and a videocard with 256 or even 512 Mb.

Finally .... 32bit works on a 64 bit processor
stay away from 64 bit - no one is writing software yet,
