Can anyone tell me why when I go on some websites the lettering appears to be 'jumbled up' and all the colouring is wrong, even when I click on reload I still have the same problem?

Well assuming you haven't got a virus (tell me you're running a current antivirus software package) then it appears as though IE is not decoding html properly. It is hard to uninstall then reinstall IE so the best thing is to service pack it. Microsoft are constantly upgrading their products and releasing these upgrades as service packs. The latest IE is version 6.0.28 SP1 (available from the above link). Service packing will overinstall the latest IE and usually fixes most html decoding problems. There are other IE issues such as java which was stripped out of Windows XP with XP service pack 1 which you can get from www.sun.com
